After watching series 4 of The Wire back to back over the last couple of days – these words by Angel Kyodo Williams seem to be apt,
“Without inner change there can be no outer change. Without collective change, no change matters.”

Wonderful interview with her below – I especially appreciated someone who can speak so well on social justice and social change strategy with such strong spiritual wisdom.

Dear Clare – Campaign Letters With Impact

How about this for a campaign: Dear Clare – a biannual photography led human rights magazine published by photojournalist Claudia Janke. It reminds me of the work Falling Whistles creates – always beautifully put together and highly readable.
So far, Claudia has put together two zines – one about violence against women in Uganda, and another exploring the exploitation of workers in the Indian garment industry.
Some headline goodies:
- beautiful images
- adventure
- personal stories
- non-campaign language
- solid evidence base
- links to action
- space for user generated content
- great design
